There are more interviews with Successfully Sensitive people to share with you in subsequent weeks, but I want to step closer to you this week and tell you that you, too, dear reader, inspire me with your sensitivity and your success. Thank you for all you’re doing to present your sensitive self to the world. Thank you for your bravery and your willingness to learn about yourself, to grow, and to trust yourself more and more. You inspire me every day
I know you have had successes and I believe we are all sensitive in myriad ways, so how would you answer the Successfully Sensitive questions?
By sharing your answers to any or all of the questions via a comment, you help and inspire other readers to gain an expanded idea of what’s possible — you lob yourself into the open so the ripples can affect others.
It’s time to come out into the open so we can see your beautiful self.
The Questions:
- In what way are you most successfully sensitive?
- What or who has inspired you to embrace your sensitivity?
- What are your eternal fascinations?
- What quest currently captivates you?
- What is your favourite kind of help to give?

With such encouragement as you give, Grace, I do believe more and more HSPs *are* coming out, shining on us all to make our lives better.
10 years ago when I first read Elaine Aron’s book and talked about it to others, mostly I was met with blank looks and lack of interest. But now? People seem much more aware and open.
I thank Ms. Aron *and* you for the work y’all have done to make this change possible!
Thank you for this opportunity to reflect and share! Here are my most immediate responses:
In what way are you most successfully sensitive?
Most recently in helping my husband communicate his worries to his becoming adult children without alienating them. In other words, as a communicative go-between.
What or who has inspired you to embrace your sensitivity?
Again, my husband, who has agreed to put up with the sometimes uncomfortable moments that occur when I allow myself to realy feel and express.
What are your eternal fascinations?
Questions like, why don’t people actually listen to each other, or why is it so hard to listen to others? Why is it so hard to put ideas into practice?
What quest currently captivates you?
I am trying to figure out how to get my personal goals into the same pot with my vocational goals.
What is your favourite kind of help to give?
I like to give people information they can use or show them where to find it. I like to encourage people and watch what happens when they act on their desires.
I’m looking forward to others’ responses as well!
Thanks, Jo. It’s a two-way street.
Paula, you give us such a clear and interesting picture of yourself here. Thank you. It strikes me how much your answers resonate with me and would resonate with lots of other HSPs I know. There’s a depth of character and attention to the world that comes shining through.
