    This one has served me well many times over the years, most memorably during various times when I’ve told people I had crushes on them (I’ve often told, even when I knew nothing will come of it), fumbling and bumbling my way through to the other side of a transforming relationship.

    There’s something about someone who’s forging ahead determinedly enough to forget finesse that triggers our compassion and attracts us, I think.
